Juxtaposed: USC + Vermont Avenue

I’m always fascinated by the different feelings that arrive when traveling via foot around Los Angeles. There will be more on this topic in the future with a final project. For now, It’ll suffice to say that there is a definite texture in the streets and in the people who travel them, and that texture changes–sometimes subtly, sometimes not-so-subtly–often within the distance of a block.

Documented here in black and white is the “texture” of Vermont Avenue just outside the gates of the prestigious University of Southern California. In color, the environment inside the University’s gates.
